What are Heart Transplantation, Fitness, and Diabetes
One of the saddest chances of a heart rate change is doing steroid-promoting diabetes. As with Type II diabetes, lifestyle changes are mandatory. And, we are not just talking about dietary change.
My post-revolutionary diabetes aggressively attacked my nervous system and my muscular system, both of which are less stressful. Since being put on, I have found great compassion for people living with diabetes and who, like me, are not sure what to do with it.
While fingerprints to get blood sugar and daily insulin injections are less painful, they are frustrating. My fingers feel like Swiss cheese, and I find myself struggling to remember to take my injections because they sting.Last year, a
neurologist confirmed my suspicions that my neuropathy was at an advanced
stage. I do not feel the toes on my right foot, and my upper legs often feel
weakness. In fact, I took three hard drops last year, and every time I felt
that my right foot was pulling or lazy. The time had come to focus on the fight
against diabetes.
Diet
Being
light-hearted as I am, at first, I thought a diet change would help me escape
this problem. But, the obstacles in my recovery required more Steroids than
expected. With the addition of a powerful anti-fungal drug called voriconazole,
my diabetes did not go away any longer than I had ever eaten.
My bride is an
awesome and healthy-looking cook. He has always been so. He reviewed, modified,
and made big changes to my diet and theirs. I knew that Suzy would go a long
way to help me fight the disease, but she was addicted to ice cream, known for
eating ice cream from breakfast until the lights went out and sometimes after!
Yes, ice cream is not in my diet.
I remember once
thinking. How is he giving up ice cream? It was extremely- heavy. Something
seemed wrong. I opened a pea bag to get a half-gallon of Maple Walnut ice cream
inside. Ah Ha!
On top of her love ice cream, Suzy also punishes. He looked at everything I ate, read all the notes that came into the house, and soon, I was out of sugar, eating a lot of spinach, salads, and fruit. But it is not enough.
Blood Sugar Not Decreasing
Try as hard as I
can my- blood sugar levels were always stable but not low. I was taking
twenty-two units of Lantus all night and sometimes injected in the middle of my
blood sugar over my limit.
I was about to
overcome this situation, and my diet was not making it happen. I went to the
gym. I walked as far as I could. I would lift weights and get sick so, that I
was caught.
Then, Suzy got
to the YMCA in Tampa, and we met Justice. My new workout is not like my old
style, and with the beautiful Tampa Riverwalk as friends, we travel everywhere,
for a long time and often.
And the result
is promising. My Lantus diet was reduced to 16 levels a night in just four
weeks of working with Justice. I have not needed an injection for lunch since I
got into Y.
I lost seven
pounds, all in half. I am starting to feel my upper legs. It is almost like the
nerves are coming back. While my right foot is still numb, I do not think I
will fall again because my- heart is so strong.
I am not a
doctor, but if you want to fight against diabetes II or if you want to prevent
it, I think you should be diligent in your diet and exercise with purpose every
day.
